Sharing moments from our final day in New York City, where we visited the 9/11 Memorial Museum, The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and did some shopping in the city!
Our first stop of the day, the 9/11 Memorial Museum. We spent hours walking through the museum, taking in every heartbreaking detail of our nation’s travesty. Visiting the 9/11 Memorial Museum was easily one of the most incredible things we have ever experienced, and I highly recommend visiting if you’re ever in NYC. It was truly phenomenal, words cannot even describe it. Love & prayers to everyone! <3
Our next stop, Liberty Island to see the Statue of Liberty! We walked to Battery Park, hopped on a ferry, and went out to the island! Seeing the Statue of Liberty in person was so surreal, and absolutely beautiful! We had pedestal access, so we were standing where the people in the photo above are, and we had the most incredible view. Learning more about the history of the Statue of Liberty was amazing, I was completely in awe!
The view from the pedestal!
Our ferry also made a stop at Ellis Island, which is rich in history and beauty! It was amazing standing in the same place as our ancestors, and knowing this was their first stop in America. This day was truly one of my favorites!!
After hopping off of the ferry, we stopped by Wall Street and visited the Charging Bull! Yes, we stood in a crazy long line to touch the bull’s balls (cringe!) in hopes that the facts behind touching it are true; a lifetime of wealth! That’s totally worth it, right?!
Happy FriYAY everyone! I hope you had a wonderful first week of 2018, and are ready for a beautiful weekend!
I must admit, looking through all of these pictures has me craving another NYC adventure, and SOON! While we had the best adventures, I still feel like there are so many places that need to be explored! Honestly when aren’t I planning a new getaway with new adventures, though?!
On our final day in NYC, we spent the entire day learning more about the history of the city! Being someone who was probably the worst history student ever, I appreciated learning even more about the city that stole my heart! It was the perfect way to end the best trip, and I’ll cherish these memories forever! Check out my vlog below for all of the details!

I went to Ellis Island a few years ago and I loved it! I really enjoyed learning about the history, and it was so incredible to see the Statue of Liberty up close! That’s hilarious about the charging bull, hopefully it’s true!
