Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you had a fabulous weekend, and are feeling inspired and refreshed for the week!!
I am SO excited to officially announce my monthly book club, because this is something I have been excited about for quite a while now!! The book that I chose for October is The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur, the best-selling author of Milk & Honey! This is her (much anticipated) second collection of poetry, which is described as “a vibrant and transcendent journey about growth and healing, ancestry and honoring one’s roots, expatriation + rising up to find home within yourself”. The book, similar to Milk & Honey, is dividing into chapters; it is a journey of wilting, falling, rooting, rising, and blooming for a celebration of love in all forms! At the beginning of each month, I will share a new book which will be the book of the month! At the end of each month, I will share a post all about everyone’s interpretation of the book, featuring favorite pages/quotes, and what resonated with them the most! I cannot wait to get started!!
So, onto the fashion section of this post!! I wore the same chambray shirt and the same tan suede booties from my Autumn Layers post, and I layered a cozy brown sweater with my favorite pair of black jeans! There’s nothing better than spending a chilly, rainy day exploring book stores with your fiancé, and this was the perfect outfit to do so!!

Yes to a chilly day spent with a book, and I love how different the shirt and boots look with this combo- I did not even realize they were the same!
I am not a big poetry reader, but I have heard about Milk & Honey; you make me want to learn more, but I am scarred from reading poetry books in high schools and being LOST.
