Part One of my spring trends featuring fashion, shoes, handbags, jewelry, and beauty…
Pantone Color(s) of the Year 2016: Rose Quartz and Serenity. This is a huge trend when it comes to spring fashion, because the pink and blue colors are a definite staple! Strappy tops/bras are also a huge trend, especially for layering! Of course you can’t go wrong with a classic t shirt dress or boyfriend jeans, but try adding a tulle skirt and neutral coat to your wardrobe!
The spring shoe trends are incredibly cute, and incredibly strappy! Normally strappy shoes were associated with gladiator style sandals, but this trend is taking it to the next level! Pair them with a dress, shorts, or cuffed jeans for an elongated look to your legs! Also you can’t ever go wrong with fringe, especially in the spring and summer!
I absolutely love handbags, and the Chloe Drew & Faye handbags are soon to be mine! For spring, neutral colors are key! Of course the classic black, tan, and white handbags are a given, but try a light pink one for an added feminine touch! I personally love tote bags, but try adding a bucket bag to your collection!
Layering jewelry is essential for spring! Layering delicate necklaces and bracelets creates a feminine and boho look to any outfit, and layering chunky pieces with delicate pieces is a must! Tassel bracelets are a popular trend, and they’re so cute and come in a ton of different styles and colors! Bib necklaces are also popping up all over, and they’re the perfect addition to a simple outfit!
Braids are key for spring, and they look so cute! Not only will braiding pull your hair back, but there are so many beautiful ways to style them! Braids are so feminine, but can also give an edgy vibe to your look if worn correctly! Spring is also the time where mid length waves are a must, so don’t be afraid to give your hair a healthy cut! It will leave you feeling fresh and new! And of course, the top knot and half top knot is always essential!
Matte liquid lipstick is perfect for the spring, because it’s going to last all day while looking amazing! Spring is also the time for bright lip colors, dewy and bronzed skin, and lots of pastels! Make sure to keep the rest of your makeup fairly neutral if you go with a bright lip, and vice versa! Pastel nails for the spring are essential, so try going for a pastel pink, blue, lavender, or even white!
